Flexijoint Standard Glass Bead Reflective Tape

Standard Glass Bead Reflective Tape is the most common one. At night, glass beads will reflect light allowing tape to light up commonly in use on street signs, police and emergency vehicles, motorbikes, bicycles, gates, poles that need to be seen at night.

It comes in three different grades, Economy, Commercial Grade and Engineer Grade. All three of these are similar but different in reflectivity and durability. Economy reflective material last the shortest in an outdoor application among the three grades. For indoor applications they will go much longer. Commercial Grade material will go in between the Economy and the Engineer Grade outdoors. Engineer Grade reflective material is rated to go about 5 years outdoors and is the most reflective of the standard glass bead tape.

For outdoor applications, Engineer Grade is recommended. Replacing worn out tape takes hefty time to do, so making the right choice of a quality material is important.

The common ones are white, orange, red, yellow, gold, blue and black. Black looks black in daytime but reflects a goldish white at night. White, Yellow and Orange reflect the brightest at night.
